For the first time ever, a music artist will be in our presence to conduct a mini-series of rhythm and Latin percussion workshops that will amaze you! Who best to run these classes other than Edmonton's best Latin percussionist and band director of 'Manny V y Su Esquina Latina', MANNY VALENCIA!
Mr. Valencia has dazzled audiences all over Alberta with his bands playing annually at the Calgary Fiestaval and Expo Latino which brings tens of thousands of patrons, in addition to having played at the Salsa'n'Skate event for the Edmonton Arts Council, Edmonton TD Jazz Festival, Pa La Cultura at the Art Gallery, Deep Freeze Festival, Kaleido Festival, Arden Theatre in St. Alberta, Festival Place in Sherwood Park and Winspear Centre. His list only starts there as he has played alongside members of famous artists and groups such as: Sonora Dinimita from Colombia ; Sonora Maya from El Salvador ; Brisas del Palmar from Cuba ; Giro Lopez from Puerto Rico ; Jorge Luis Chacin from Venezuela ; Frankie Negron from Puerto Rico ; Luis Grau of Cuba ; Ricardo Cepeda of Venezuela; Miguel Alarcon of Mexico ; Maelo Ruiz of Puerto Rico ; and Beet Acosta of Venezuela.
